Nancy Barravecchio is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist, Licensed Massage Therapist. Nancy received her Degree in Massage Therapy in 2002 and her degree in Acupuncture in 2012 from the NY College for Health Professions.
Certified in several therapeutic, medical and sport modalities, Nancy has been specializing in Sport Massage and Flexibility Enhancement Active Isolated Stretching – the Aaron Mattes Method.
For over 10 years, Nancy has been applying her skills as a multi-faceted bodywork practitioner. She has been providing her patients individualized treatment plans assisting them in maintaining as well as achieving their desired health goals.
Nancy is an NCCAOM certified – NY State Licensed Acupuncturist and graduate with Honors from Clinical Internship at The New York College Student Health Clinic, performing practical applications of Acupuncture including; Moxabustion, Gua-sha, Seven Star, Shoni Shin, 5 Element, 4 Needle Techniques from Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as Japanese Meridian Acupuncture.
Nancy is highly trained in Acupuncture with the concentration of the Neuro-musuclar connection to pain management. In addition, Nancy also specializes in Stress Management, Anxiety and Sleep disorders, Facial Rejuvenation and Weight Loss Management. Nancy now integrates the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture into the regiments of her therapeutic treatments, while providing individualized healing techniques that successfully address client related health concerns.
Outside of the treatment room Nancy has been on the field of countless sporting and entertainment events, having worked with a full spectrum of amateur and professional athletes onsite, including working as a Lead Massage Therapist for the Players and the Caddies at the 2004, 2006, 2008 US Open Golf Championships, Tuesday’s Child Shotgun Fundraiser, multiple events for the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation, the 2003 thru 2007 to the9/11 Tunnel to the Towers 5K Run/Walk Charity Event in memory of Fireman Stephen Siller. Massage Therapist for the AVP providing therapy for the Professional Volley Ball Players since 2003.
The entertainment industry has also been a place where Nancy has been able to provide her therapeutic touch working onsite with ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, as well as professional and celebrity entertainers at several venues in the New York and New York City area.
